Dayline — Privacy Policy

Dayline ("the app") is built around a simple promise: your diary is yours alone.

1. Your diary stays on your device

Everything you write in Dayline is stored only on your device. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server. We never see, collect, transmit, or back up your diary entries. If you delete the app, your entries are deleted with it (export them first from Settings if you want to keep them).

2. What the app itself collects

Nothing. The app has no analytics of its own and collects no personal information. Your settings (theme, reminder time, app lock) are stored on your device only.

3. Advertising

Dayline is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device information such as the advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking), IP address, and ad interaction data. This is handled by Google under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can decline tracking when iOS asks ("Ask App Not to Track"). The app works exactly the same either way — you will simply see less personalized ads.

4. Face ID

If you enable app lock, authentication is performed entirely by iOS on your device. The app never receives or stores your biometric data.

5. Notifications

Daily reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push notification service is used.

6. Children

Dayline is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
